Summer & Off Track Class List:
In addition to our Summer program, classes will be scheduled by popularity.  Any group of 4 to 6 students may call & schedule “group classes” for summer afternoon & evening class times.  Here are a few of the more popular classes

 

Clay Mask Making: Students create several beautiful masks and learn about some of the cultural significant to mask making.

Comic Book Creations: Students create their own characters and story line developing a 10 to 20 page comic book.  Includes cartoon drawing skills.

Writers Ingenuity: Good ideas are nurtured to become fantastic stories!  Children learn how to write & create characters and plots. Group critiquing and sharing helps build the story and self-esteem.

Ceramic Murals:  Students design and create their own 9 tile murals.

Hand Made Tiles: Students learn to create their own molds for casting hand made tiles.  Class includes several glazing and underglaze painting techniques.

Beginning Drawing: Projects teaching learning how to draw, terms, techniques & practical application.

Clay Specialty:Students learn about clay by hand-building and pouring a mold including creating pinch pots, classic bowls, patterns & more.

Stipple Acrylic Painting: Students learn about the art of pointillism and create their own works of art developing their own style.

Cartooning:  Starting from the beginning, students learn about creating cartoons including body language and facial expressions.

Painting DiscoveryDiscovery is right!  This class teaches the artist how to use paints, brushes and paper, color wheels and more.

Beginning Watercolor:  Students learn technique including color and how to create beautiful watercolor paintings.  Supplies included.

Beginning Oil Painting:  Students learn technique and mixing color.  Preparing their canvas and how to create beautiful oil paintings.  Supplies NOT included.

Beginning Acrylic:  Students learn technique of acrylic.  How to create beautiful acrylic paintings. Supplies included.

Paper Mache Monsters:  Students learn technique of paper mache.  Easy set-up and clean-up.  No fail projects for kids and teachers!

Clay Sculptures to support Characters in reading:  Easy sculpture ideas to encourage students to remember and enjoy characters in the books they read.

Art From Other Countries  Includes different mediums and research techniques.

Special note - Intermediate and Advanced classes are available for continuing students as the student progresses.
